“It is Mr Meek’s intention to have copies lithographed for sale and distribution, and when he visits Great Britain he will deliver a course of lectures on the resources of the colony, making his picture the basis of his remarks.” There are many reports of Meek’s hopes to return to England, share his experiences and promote the colonies, but to date, there is no evidence that he was able to do so.
